All About Me!

My name is Ashley Horak - I am currently a junior at BGSU and am proud to say I am a born and raised BG townie! :) When I graduated from Bowling Green High School in 2008, I attended Eastern Kentucky University on a full scholarship to play volleyball. I played there for one season, then moved back home to Bowling Green when my son, Peyton, was born in March 2009. After he was born, I returned back to school to play volleyball, on scholarship, but this time at Owens Community College in Toledo, OH. This allowed me to still fulfill my dream of playing college volleyball but still be close to home where my family was more than willing to help with Peyton. I played there for two years and decided that with school, working part-time, and my son nearing age 2, it was time to throw in the towel on my dream and focus more on school and being the best Mommy possible to Peyton. And though it may be extremely hard sometimes, I honestly wouldn't have it any other way :)
